Chainmail Shirt

In 9th grade I had begun to run with a weight vest during training to increase my speed and endurance for basketball. The weight vest I had was very bulky and uncomfortable to wear. I imagined that a chainmail shirt would be weighted like a bulky vest, but would be much more comfortable and uniform. Intrigued, I looked up a YouTube video and learned how to make chainmail. In the end, I made a full shirt. When I trained wearing my chainmail shirt over a t-shirt, I felt the satisfaction of using something I made and knowing that it played an important function in my training.
